A Man Thinking in France

A Man Thinking captures a quiet moment in a café, where one man sits lost in thought while the people beside him carry on with their day. I worked in watercolor and oil on watercolor paper, letting loose washes build the café around the figures and saving more careful detail for his face and hands. I wanted the piece to hold the stillness of someone completely absorbed in his own thoughts in the middle of a busy place.
